STG1000 Series
The stimulus generators of the 1000 series are general purpose stimulators, perfect for a very wide range of different applications.
Waveforms (both current and voltage) designed in the MC_Stimulus program or imported from an external file are converted by the stimulus generator into pulses, which are sent to stimulating electrodes. Stimulus isolations units (SIU) for each channel are already integrated in the compact instrument.

The stimulus generator can be triggered by an external TTL pulse. Triggering of other devices (for example the data acquisition) via programmable TTL pulses sent from the
Sync Out output of the stimulus generator is possible.
Stimulus generators of the 1000 series are available for simultaneous stimulation on 1, 2, 4, and 8 channels (STG1001, STG1002, STG1004, and STG1008).
Waveforms and stimulation:
- Unlimited duration of stimulus protocol and number of pulses, perfect
for long-time stimulation
- Freely programmable waveforms (monophasic, biphasic, square pulses,
ramps, sine wave)
- Individual time rates and duration of pulses
- ASCII Import of stimulation protocols (e. g. biopotential waveforms)
- Time resolution 20 µs
- Very accurate/flexible timing controlled by an internal microcontroller
- Continuous or triggered operation
Hardware:
- Stimulus isolation units integrated for
each channel, everything you need is in one compact instrument, no additional
costs
- 1, 2, 4, or 8 analog output channels, each operating independently
- Each channel optically isolated
- Separate voltage and current output mode
- Maximum output voltage -8 V to +8 V @ +/-20 mA for each channel
- Maximum output current -0.8 mA to 0.8 mA @ +/-100 V for each channel
- Additional trigger input and output (TTL) for external control
- Downloaded paradigms are stored in internal memory and transformed by
the STG's internal computer into analog pulse streams
- Advanced microprocessor technology
- Standard RS232 interface
- Download rate (from computer to stimulus generator) 56 Kbps
- Plug and play hardware
- No need for batteries
Software:
- Very flexible design of simple and complex stimulation protocols via
graphical user interface and WYSIWYG editor (for Windows)
- Tools for setting up complex stimuli like autocreating wizards, editing
multiple pulses at once, grouping and looping pulses
- Save comments and print stimulus worksheets
- Edit, manage, and store any number of pulse paradigms on your computer,
download them to STG as needed
- Batch mode for combining separate standard pulse protocol files for
different applications
